An Auditory Processing Evaluation takes between 1.5 to 2 hours in a sound booth with headphones. Results are scored based on norms for auditory processing skills by age.
A one hour report session will be scheduled shortly after the evaluation to explain results and recommendations. Recommendations include accommodations for school or work; therapies that can help strengthen auditory weaknesses; and or compensation strategies.
Evaluations can be done for those age 7 or older with normal cognitive function and normal hearing (on standard hearing test).
